I am disappointed by this change, and even now most connections in the 60 to 75 minute area are viable in overall terms, even if particular circumstances on the day can get in the way. I guess EC261 is having an impact here. But my biggest annoyance at this is that while I can see an argument for this being temporarily needed, my fear would be that even if the LHR establishment goes back to being fully staffed, and connections get faster, then this change is unlikely to be reversed. This makes BA less competitive and encourages people to make 2 unprotected bookings, either knowingly or out of ignorance. While a 70 minute connection maybe undesirable for many here, it's at least a choice and may well force a 4 or 6 hour wait for the next flight.
