I get fairly good recognition flying out of EWR starting at the check in area, at the lounge (not 123 which is automated), to the gate and then on board. Hell, flying back from EDI the other week the purser chatted with my wife and I for about 30 minutes after thanking me for being GS. I am in sales so I tend to great everyone and look them in the eye when I do so.
I'm not sales, but am the same outgoing type, greet everyone with a smile. I always bring treats for the Flight Attendants, etc. Have FA's chat with me a ton, but just rarely get the GS recognition. Not really a big deal, just kind of curious why the inconsistency (besides the obvious, people are different)?
