Just finished a three night stay here and overall we had a great stay. Love the location right on the lake as it doesn't feel like you are right in the middle of the city. Even though the weather was a bit spotty this weekend it cooperated enough that we were able to spend some time down at Dock and Drink and sit in the adirondack style chairs and enjoy the lake views. The hotel was definitely very busy this weekend with some large group events and parties.

Check in was smooth and Explorist status was recognized. I used a Club Access Award and the agent explained that breakfast in Waters restaurant would be included. This included one entree and non-alcoholic drink per person. We were upgraded to a partial lake view room on the 10th floor and given our keys.

The room was fine, nothing special. The room was on the lake side, but looked parallel across to other rooms as we were part of the cutout of the building above the patio dining. If that makes sense. Certainly took away some feeling of privacy with rooms across the way looking right at you. Water pressure was acceptable but not great in the oversize shower. Bathroom also had a glazed glass door for the toilet area. I did like the recyclable aluminum water bottles that you could refill down the hallway. Biggest issue with the room was that it didn't seem to be fully prepped for arrival. The bed was made really weird with the sheet folded funny at the top and there were no wash clothes or bath mat in the bathroom. Just two hand towels and bath towels. Also missing was lotion. Heating system was completely off and never really seemed to work that great. Felt like it would shut off at times and temperature fluctuated a bit.

Dining-we had brunch Saturday and Sunday, and regular breakfast our last morning, all on the heated patio which we loved. It was nice to sit outside with a view of the lake. The overhead heaters kept things warm enough. You definitely need reservations on the weekend and they need to be made probably the day before. When we tried to eat earlier on Sunday we were told they could put us on a waiting list and if someone canceled then we could be seated. Otherwise no dice. We ended up going out with some family, but did come back later and hit the tail end of brunch (after getting on the wait list) so we could partake in the bottomless mimosas, which were tasty! I had steak and eggs one morning, and then yogurt/fruit and a side of two eggs off the breakfast menu. Food was good and service friendly.

The club lounge was a bit hit or miss. I liked that Thursday through Sunday they have the lounge open with a free wine pour (one red, one white) or a beer. This was open to all though wasn't very busy the two nights we went. We chatted with one of the servers a bit both nights and got some restaurant recommendations, which were good! One night we had an Alexis George pinot noir from California and the next night a Revelry Merlot from Washington. I think the white both nights was a pinot grigio. They also offered a four different wine flights for purchase and you could also get glasses of wine, beer and a whiskey flight. We had the bubbles flight fro $19 with four different offerings, and a mixed white/red flight with two white and two red offerings for $20. The server was a bit heavy handed with the pours which was great as my wife was sharing with me as well. Outside of the wine tasting, the lounge was pretty meh. They Regency Club in downtown Seattle has more and better variety of snacks and a better coffee machine. Here there were potato chips, a few different fruit bar and granola bar offerings, some water, pop, and juice. Didn't see a piece of fruit all weekend and they were running out of things. For instance, Sunday morning went down to get a coffee and there were no coffee cups. Stopped by about 4 hours later and still hadn't been stocked. Mostly empty the times we popped in.

We parked in the garage across the way. $16 per night but free on the weekend, so we only paid for one day. Valet was $36 I think. The valet told us if we go into the parking garage on the side furthest from the hotel, it puts you on the lower level where there was a tunnel that connected directly to the hotel. Nice to use when it was raining.

My only "complaint" for the stay was that unlike as a Globalist the charge for breakfast was on the folio during the whole stay. When I inquired at the front desk on day two they said it would be removed at check out. Felt like they were just putting me off and didn't want to bother. At checkout I had to bring it up and the agent went through line by line to remove items, but only did it for one of the days. Had to prompt her to also do the other days. Outside of that, overall, everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant where our servers were great.

Look forward to visiting again, and hope we can go when the weather cooperates a bit more!
