This may not be a popular opinion, but if it was that important, you shoulda paid for it. If its so important that you're not going to fly if youre not up front, then I dont see why you didnt just pay for it for First Class when you bought the ticket. Think how much time, effort, etc you wasted over this missed upgrade, whatever the cause.
