Should Dulles Be Reconsidered?

I usually use DCA but I've gone through screening at IAD twice in the last month, and neither time have I been urged to remove my Sperry Topsiders, nor have I been sent to secondary screening after wearing them through the metal detector. Has the shoe carnival moved on?
