These would be the 4 properties in our budget, never been to Cancun or Playa Del Carmen mostly travel to Colombia and Costa Rica.

Ideally, we’d like to be able to go and explore outside the resort for food, nightlife, dancing etc. but having also having the All Inclusive doesn’t hurt for the days we want to stay on site.

I'd recommend against the Sapphire. Zero Globalist recognition here. To be fair, it was early on in the acquisition of the Dreams portfolio, but still an overall disappointing stay. If you want to venture out, the GH PDC is your best bet as it is more centrally located to Cozumel ferries and of course Playa del Carmen...the Zilara riviera Maya is adults only, which is nice, but it is down its own narrow winding road and not near anything.
