JUST checked out of this property. As a frequent guest at the GH PDC, I feel I have a good basis to compare the two properties. Food at this property is average at best. Service is slow in all the restaurants. Tequila selection is extremely poor, if that matters. Entertainment also lacks compared to other properties, if that matters, but is still present enough to be annoying. Seaweed was a major problem here during my stay, but is even more of an issue at the GH, as the beach there is narrower. The beach is nice, other than the seaweed, and there were plenty of chairs with shade available both around the pool and on the beach. The GH is a larger property and the lounge there can get crowded at times. The workers try hard at both properties, and certainly made me feel welcome here. The gym is attended to at this property (i.e. attendants check you in). There is not much around this property, whereas the GH is block away from quinta avenida. As a comparison to the Hyatt Zilara in Cancun, this property has a long way to go to compare, hence the rate difference. Service and food are top-notch at the Hyatt Zilara Cancun whereas this one is merely average.
