I would rate that worse than 52 and 25 in AMS.
Well... if t's a crown lounge it's a KL lounge

but I was mostly speaking about European lounges. Thanks for the warning. I'm not looking forward to try!

Why is it not fair to compare those? Because contract lounges have a customer to please whereas KL can just serve whatever people will come anyway?
Almost every airline operated lounge in Europe (especially Northern Europe and especially Schengen-only lounges) serves absolutely horrible food and is regularly crowded these days so it's not like KL stands out in any way.
This is where I disagree. Crown lounge is in a league of its own when it comes to tasteless food. Other lounges are crowded, yes, but the food offering is generally not as horrid. AF lounge in GVA or LH lounge in ATH recently had perfectly edible stuff.
On the bright side for AMS, Leon reopened both of their branches (many months ago), so there is now a decent, cheap and quick option for (slightly healthier) takeaway
Absolutely, Schiphol has a lot of tasty restaurants (the oyster bar always been pretty good). That's why it's even more infuriating. It's definitely a lie to say you can't eat well in Holland.
