Flew the new business class pods on the 330 today.... not impressed at all. Compared to the Dreamliner version these are cramped, uncomfortable seats and less functionality. Definitely avoiding in the future.

I didn’t mind the 330 pods. Yes they are smaller than 777/787. And yes you have to wear a shoulder belt on takeoff and landing. And yes the mattress cover covers up the shoulder belt in an annoying way. And no, you can’t change the firmness of the mattress. But I prefer the tray and prefer that I can sit next to my wife and chat comfortably (if we’re in the inside seats). For daytime flights I like them; for overnights they are maybe just a bit too small to sleep comfortably. Oh, and I like that they have the Do Not Disturb button you can press (though a flight attendant told me she didn’t even know it was there so it wouldn’t keep them from disturbing be).
Completely agree with Genetk, it's a "honey I shrunk the pods" moment when you step in for the first time...so total lunch bag letdown if you are used to the traditional Widebody Pods. Canuckian goes on to highlight many of the things I can't stand about these pods which I find a major annoyance.
AC must realize it's an inferior product or there is just less demand for this plane because whenever I do a Reward Search on the CowTool the 330 comes up as the lowest cost in points in J or PY compared to the 788/9 and the 777.
