- What is your ALL status?
Gold

- Were you (or for multi-stayers were you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
1 classic double with sea view and 1 regular standard room

- How are the rooms?
Functional, small with no real flair. Very simple decor, reminiscent of a blue themed ibis room or a small independent hotel, not a large chain. Although clean and in good condition. bar/restaurant area looks quite smart.

- What was good and what was bad?
Good:
Nice view of the beach for that room
Water fountain. Although a bottle and small fridge in the room would be good too

Bad:
Parking needs to be booked in advance; i wasn't aware and had to find street parking.
Room is small, table and chairs don't leave a lot of space.

- Did you get club lounge access? How was the lounge?
N/A

- What about welcome drinks, welcome amenities or any other special perks?
Hotel wasn't full, no upgrade offered or made available when asked. Drink voucher ready at checkin but only for 1 person. 0.25L 1664 was the only applicable beer, other bottles or larger sizes not applicable

- Value for $ or Vouchers? Would you return?
I paid ~180 euro for 2 incl breakfast for the sea view room and ~140 for the standard double booked 4 months ago. A little pricey i thought but practical for the town if you don't want the Ibis Styles in the old city. Probably stay again next time we come through.

Happy to read a report about this hotel, but sad to see that nothing has changed around loyalty handling. I stayed several times in this hotel but boycott it for years because they don't care at all about the program. They just see it as an inconvenience. I had unbelievable discussions with persons at front desk. Your report says no upgrade despite hotel not full, drink voucher valid for 1 despite double occupancy and only for soft drink and beer...WOW . You didn't mention, but I suppose no welcome gift ?
The location is superb but the management is just...(I will remain polite here ). A typical example of how Accor French midscale hotels behave.
I now go to Mercure St Malo Balmoral and am very happy with it, despite a slightly less convenient location (just in front of train station).
