Tbh this reminded me of a gate check on a BA flight in IST earlier in the year maybe I had a similar situation.

So flying back from IST, in Istanbul you go through security at the entrace, then security (maybe twice if you were lucky like me), then at the gate they usually have a check for UK bound flights. On this day my wife is very adament we should get to the gate on time as we have been running late to most events on this trip. On arrival, we get stopped for another search. Now at this point I am not too happy but join the line. The line is a little long and it seems women can skip the line but also it seems saying your CW or Gold did the trick also.

This kind of annoyed me as it meant the line was even slower, I cant remember what I said out lound but it got the attention of the security manager, who quickly escorted me to another table having waited 5 mins. Now everyone is being asked to unpack and repack, I simply put my bag up and say, you want to see it, you can pack it.

Security manager, comes across again and says no problem, has a quick look and your okay, repacks and hands back. My wife whos waiting for me, say's was it that bad hahaha
