My original flight was scheduled to leave at 11:30 am. The flight was canceled, and I was rebooked on a 1 pm flight, as a result of which I will miss an important business meeting. . . . . . . .
. . . . .I should have asked the OP and others who contributed to the thread a specific question. We can all benefit from the answer.
On the online Refund Form, what were the other check boxes that were offered, and how much explanation was even expected beyond that?
Back in grad school we talked a lot about framing the situation to make the answer you want to receive be the easiest choice for the other person to make. (Or theologically, way pre the management guru we were reading that week, see Acts 26:14). It strikes me the refund claim processor is likely to just click off approval if the reason fits in the magic box, with at most a
very short but reasonable scenario why it fits. Just because it is easy and makes sense. (It's even Biblical).
So I'm asking: What all reason boxes are on their sort of pre-approved list, and do they expect any free-form explanation at all?.
