Hey there one highlight of my JR Green Car pass from 2018 was when I went to Kanazawa and by accident found the Hanayome Noren train, a gorgeous, decorated special train that went to a tourist onsen town up the coast. I assume there are other trains like this in random places around Japan.
Anyone have other cool recommendations for included JR trains, ferries, buses etc-- (other than Shinkansen trips) that are worth the time?
