This may be HADACAB (Heathrow Air Traffic Movement Demand and Capacity Balancing) influence, so BA instructed to reduce workload by a given percentage. At the moment BA has 302 departures for today, instead of about 325 or so originally planned. And I can see a few other cancellations from other airlines, notably the Lufthansa Group of airlines, so that means some workload easing is in here. I won't go into a full debate here, since this is more for the EC261 thread, but HADACAB cancellations are awkward for EC261 - the airline saying they are imposed by airports, but nevertheless there is an element of choice here - BA chooses which service to can.
