1) It's not 'BA' handling your baggage at the airport - these aren't BA employees. Nor are they Qatar employees.

2) 30 minutes isn't a long time. You can wait that anywhere you fly in many instances. It's extremely rare for any bag to come within 20 minutes whatever airport. I've flown about 15 times this year and I'd say 30-45 mins is the norm if you're first off the plane. Obviously if you're last off, you'd feel like you got your bags fairly quickly as you're likely to be 10-15 mins behind row 1.

The irony is about sitting in row 1 is we disembark and rush through immigration and normally the first to baggage reclaim and you'll notice that there's hardly anyone else there for a good 10-15 minutes, but somehow our rushing makes us believe our bags will be handled in the same manner...

3) There's no such thing as a 'priority' bag anymore, especially since the pandemic. We've discussed this many many times in various threads here. I flew back from CPH recently and sat in 1C and myself and the lady in 1A had our 'priority' bags come out....almost last.
