Wahooflyer they are running shoes (with less than 1 inch soles) Never been made to remove them at PIT and never set off a WTMD with them. Generally don't have any problems with them other than other "Shoe Carnival" locations (i.e. checkpoints where they secondary everyone who doesn't follow the recommendation to remove their shoes). I will try requesting a complaint form in the future. I am never beligerent at the checkpoint and I never harass the screeners. Just politely decline to take off my shoes and explain the shoes are acceptable at many other checkpoints. I'll tighten up my wording and try your phrasing. We'll see if it helps...
