Maybe on a domestic SFO/LAX-JFK redeye. However anything else there's plenty of people that haven't eaten. Lots will be connecting and may not have eaten (or got a sad box 5 hours before touchdown at hub). Some will have to work and plan on meal on plane. You also have people that aren't on a 9pm clock body wise.

Bottom line there's plenty of people that want/need to eat. If them eating is so inconvenient there's another option - private jet.
