OP you should realize you're in the minority here. you can decline meal service, ask for express service, or have them hold your meal (these all require actually talking to a FA, which many posters seem to think is the worst thing that can possibly happen, but they are still options). The idea that nobody should get a meal because you don't want one seems ... a little extreme.
