Holiday Inn Express Madrid Airport

What is your IHG One Rewards status?
Diamond Royal Ambassador Inner Circle

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked on points and got one Queen Standard on last floor.

How are the rooms?
Compact: around 20 sqm, but well designed.

Comfortable bed.
Sockets next to the bed.

Small desk.
Kettle

Open closet
Television with quite good selection of international channels
No Chromecast.

Bathroom with walk-in shower.
Dove toiletries.

View over the Av de Aragón (surprisingly leafy environment)
Very quiet.

How is the exec. lounge?
N/A

What was good and what was bad?
GOOD
Smiling staff.
Brand new
Very quiet.

Tiny outdoor pool
Restaurant at hotel (did not try it; I was informed at check-in that, as the restaurant is independently managed, the bill cannot be added to the hotel bill)
Basic but pretty good breakfast
The hotel has no shuttle but you can book shuttle services from a link on the hotel’s landing page (great service, EUR 7.5 by passenger)
To reach city centre, you can either take a Uber (EUR 19) or catch a bus.

BAD
Nothing

Value for $ or IHG One Rewards Points? Would you return?
Yes, very happy with the hotel: exactly what you need as an airport hotel: clean, functional, quiet (even if there is no direct access from the airport).
