My guess is that you also buy your tickets many months in advance, and do so for the cheapest possible price, which is fine, but I should point out that you are probably doing so for half the cost that it costs a passenger who does O/D IST/JFK. Not trying to be insulting, but just stating facts.
You know there are many of us who fly such routes biweekly, right? A flight or two a year with family is not a "pattern" for the airline industry it is "scatter". I mean you are talking about UA, so obviously IST is not involved in your calculation for that, and you are therefore connecting (at least once) so your point is lost with me.
I am perhaps the most critical person of TK on these boards, but in fairness will ALWAYS give credit to TK where credit is due, TK knows how and when to schedule flights, they are the most nimble and reactive to not only market possibilities, but rarely leave a stone unturned.
What I don;t get is that you are actually getting what you want here, they are trying it out...............they are doing the flight you like, and you have been assurred that if it is a runaway success, that they will probably keep it, eventually. But your insistence that they have somehow been irresponsible or "leaving money on the table" is just silly, as their load factors especially in the summer, do not in anyway support this.\
As I said previously, I'll be happy to take a further look at what you are saying, but based only on facts and not guesstimates.
Nevertheless, even for your guesstimates, it seems that you are unable to provide high-quality ones, as I can see from the fact that your guesstimates about my flying patterns were totally wrong.
