Do not underestimate how awful security at MAN can be. If they decide to make an example of you, which they may do for no discernable reason, they will take joy in letting you know that they don't care if you miss your flight. I have not seen this attitude, which many other folks have observed as well, at any other airport in Europe, Canada, or North America. Even if security does not make an example of you, it will still take twice as long as anywhere else.
