I'm finally getting tha horrible customer experience I've been reading about.
I've had pretty good luck cancelling and refunding Iberia Plus flights so far. In the past sometimes they'd forget to refund my points and the agent on the line will just do it for me themselves. Now I've been getting the runaround for over a month now. Everytime I call they keep saying that they've "escalated" my case, or that I'd get an email soon, or in 48 hours, etc., etc. But still nothing. I suspect it's because this flight has already been changed many times since it was originally a COVID booking. I've found better luck having the agent change dates rather than refunding, but this time I was told I could only change it within a day or two, so I said just refund it. I'm starting to worry that I'm not going to see my 68,000 Avios again.
