Survey - evening (9pm) long haul departure - serve a late meal or not?

Recently I have been on some evening long haul flights with 9pm-11pm departures where a meal has been served soon after take off. In both cases, I found it annoying that such meal service occurred as I would rather have gotten some sleep (even with earplugs and eye shades there is noise and light). In each case I have skipped the meal so food is wasted. I suspect others did as well. More annoying was a minimal or no breakfast. As such, a survey

After 9pm departure long haul flights with morning/noon arrivals

1. Late night meal service.
2. Skip the late meal service, provide a bottle of water at each seat and serve "breakfast" instead.
