I am going to be flying with my little one when they are very nearly 2 years old in Euro Traveller on a straightforward Avios ticket (no Club Avios availability).

I want to get them their own seat, it's a long short haul sector (4 and a half hours).

I think I can achieve this in one of two ways:

2. Booking an extra seat for an infant under 2 (Travelling with infants: https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb...travel/seating)

Is one likely to be cheaper than the other? I will be paying cash as there are no more Avios seats.

Are there any other advantages or disadvantages doing it one way and not the other?

I am waiting for social media team to come back with a price for option 2. Live chat can't help, and calling resulted in the we're too busy and disconnect.
