What about bottled water? Is there a lot of that around for free or will we need to purchase water over and over? That would change the maths a bit.
Lastly, is it easy to go off property to do some local shopping or is that not recommended given the safety issues or just overall inconvenient?
whenever you sit down by the pool or beach they’ll bring you 4 or 5 mini water bottles on ice for free. Plenty of places to grab the mini water bottles too like the gym or any time you pass the pool.
For local shopping, you can ask your driver to stop before you get to the property or just order via Rappi (could be a bit challenging if you don’t know basic Spanish). I ordered some beer and distilled water for my baby and it was a bit tricky getting them through the gates at Mayakoba but after that no problem.
