As a regular flyer for AF/KL in J, AF/KL was a mess in the summer and fall of 2022 for longhaul flights whether it was on the ground at AMS/CDG or in the air with the food and service. You got better service/attention from FAs with CityHopper and Hop! than the parent company smh. In addition, the service was a crapshoot even in AF LP on the ground and in the air as well (I've become somewhat of a notorious complainer about LP in the AF La Premiere Outlook subthread). From my experience, though, things started to smoothen out starting around October/November. AFKL must have had their inboxes filled with complaints because their chic/distant FAs to become very friendly based on my flights with them since then and the food is back ot normal. However, KL's food is still subpar.
