At some point these trusted traveler programs become more of a joke and are shown to be just a vehicle for governments to get more PII data on more travelers; and after giving a bunch of passengers more convenience for a while for being the guinea pig test set, then the governments ramp up their ability to take those lessons learned to sort of bundle travelers back together in some ways and thereby get on the path of eroding the difference between being a “trusted traveler” and not. But India may have to work toward this kind of program because of reciprocity demands.
