Perhaps it's easiest that you email K2. See the other thread that I started recently, the only difference being I got a report number at LHR on arrival.

But I think if you email K2 with detailed information and photos, at least you have a record of having reported the issue, and there's lesser chance of them wiggling out of helping you.
