I now tactically aim for an odd numbered row if there are 4, or front half if 5 or more. Is there a better plan based on official service order?
The standard as another poster has said is window to aisle regardless of gender , ideally AC DF. However, crew may notice high value/ gold etc in DF and try to prioritise them, even though it's not a standard. (There are plenty of other threads about Gold meal choice prioritisation ).
In terms of rows, there's no standard, usually liaises between the two crew members so that the workload is spread evenly, though usually the one closer to the galley takes longer due to set up of trolley/ needing to top up trolley/ other safety related tasks which require that crew member to break away from service.

Point of plastic cups- as said above that's a priority. On a flight length of Belfast, clearing in is appropriate time to transfer over to plastic.

We never serve gender first. If insisted by the customer, we can prepare the drinks at the same time, but always serve window to aisle, clear aisle to window.
