My experience on AF was that the FAs worked their tails off during meal times, and then when everything was cleaned up and put away they disappeared until breakfast service, even in J class. Having said that, the food and wine were better than you would find on Delta; if you like French fire water such as cognac, calvados and armagnac, you will find them on AF flights; AF even passed out miniatures of cognac in Y. AF had an excellent operation at IAD, which they run jointly with their co-owned airline KLM. If you've never flown on AF, you ought to give them a try. Buy your ticket through Delta, so that if things go pear shaped, Delta IRROPs will be there for you.
