Yes it's definitely a reduced service D1 on that route.... Both on the 757 (which is most of the flights) and your 767.. They have their oldest planes with the lie flats on this route now.. There was better planes a few years ago but that was before international travel took off again. You should have had more than 2 meal choices so that's either a catering miss unless they were out by the time they got to your row.
As for the FA knowledge on the menu, asking a passenger what they want has gone the way of short hand..... There are lot of nice things to know that come with the dishes but instead its, chicken, beef for this bowl thing...
