You can, but I don’t believe you can just give them the code to use like a GGU. You as the owner just need to call with their reservation details to apply the SWU to it or make the booking for them and apply your SWU for waitlist/confirm the upgrade then if C/A space is available (did that for my partner on SEA-LHR last year with no issues).
