I just noticed this thread - glad you got it fixed in the end. At least your changes were complex... I wanted to change one CX flight on a DONE4, issued by QF, and it took 4 calls/2hours and eventually only Facebook actually fixed it. Mine was a free change of date (i.e. same flight # and carrier) that took over a week. Was ridiculous, their system is clearly not set up for RTW tickets as I had a similar kind of tax challenge - in my case the tax changes were negative (I suspect UK APD as I had a domestic flight and they reduced the tax after booking by a negligible amount), so they weren't able to re-issue the ticket with the normal agents.
