The 763 was mention in regards to seat types comparison. I would take a DL763 over any Euro J seat excepton really short flights.

I’d take the DTW-CDG option. Longer time spent in the nicer seats of the bigger TATL bird. While I agree the AF CDG-FCO product isn’t the greatest, it’s a short enough flight that I wouldn’t care that much.

Service is almost always better in my view on AF too...
As for the business class flight from CDG to FCO, yeah not the best seat but service and meal is like domestic first. your just setting in comfort plus type seat with no one in the middle of you.
I'm confused. BOS-FCO is longer than DTW-CDG. Not by much, but still longer. Also no need to clear immigration at connecting airport. (Going via CDG, you clear immigration at CDG not FCO)
