Easy question for me. AF.. Longer flight going over the pond better for sure, chance for more sleep.
Menu and Wine way way better on AF then DL...
Service is almost always better in my view on AF too...
As for the business class flight from CDG to FCO, yeah not the best seat but service and meal is like domestic first. your just setting in comfort plus type seat with no one in the middle of you.
