Half right....they just want non-elite customers. They get $33+tax more per night for the resort fee from them. With just 230 rooms and elites boycotting and going somewhere else for our perks, this just create more inventory to no status travelers.
I have to say, once you removed the breakfast they used to serve (it wasn't even that big of a spread), it is a descent hotel when price is right if you don't have status. I would accept 2K bonus points per night PER PERSON. Buying 2K points when it is on sale would cost me $36, the going rate for breakfast at full service Hyatt, Then again, they don't want us there.
One thing here does impress me. How many other Hyatts do you know that offers free Sunscreen & After Sun Aloe Gel by the pool?
