Delta or Air France
I have a question for those of you who have flown both DL and AF long-haul.
My wife and I are scheduled DTW-CDG-FCO (DEP 10:05 p.m ARR 3:55 p.m.) / FCO-CDG-DTW (DEP 10:10 a.m. ARR 7:30 P.M). The long-haul portion is on the A350 (not the new one). We have what is termed "honeymoon seats on the flight. The tickets were purchased through the Delta website with Delta flight numbers.
Today, I was able to price out DTW-BOS-FCO (DEP 10:00 a.m. ARR 6:30 a.m.) and FCO-BOS-DTW (DEP 8:10 a.m. ARR 7:25 p.m.) with the long haul being in a D1 suite for the same price.
We have flown D1 across the pond and do like the suite. I am just not that familiar with AF to know if it's worth trading flights. The layovers in BOS are longer (especially on the way to FCO).
Any thoughts?
**We have transferred flights in CDG in the past and frankly, find the transfers to be easy (albeit a long walk), so transferring in CDG is not an issue for us.
