Or rather they can't find anyone willing to work for the wages they are paying. I was just at a Courtyard in Nevada where a very friendly guy at the front desk told me he was leaving soon because he got a job working in the kitchen at a Five Guys that paid $20/hour (I didn't ask but I presume that means it was more than he was getting at the Courtyard).
