It seems, you were unlucky. Depiste that my status was aknowledged at check in and later at the lounge, where I was checked in. During breakfast in the restaurant the F&B Manager showed up and asked me for my thoughts about the breakfast and my experience in other hotels and how he could impove. Was callaed a bif off guard. On my last day, the GM showed up in the lounge and was well aware of my status. We had a very pleasant talk about the hotels and the renovation.

In general, recognition in Asia is better than in Europe. In the US, the CP Seattle did go the extra mile and thanked me. The front desk office was checking me out and as noticed that I was Top tier used to ask if there is anything, they can improve.

In general I try to be low profile, especially if during a business trip with colleagues and much more like the general "thank you for your loyalty" phrase.

Fun fact of on my many stay at a certain HIX. Check in the third time with the same young, new and a bit snobbish member of staff, who puts me in rooms next to the elevator despite requesting far away. And she always greets me as a member .... The third time, I began to be a bit annoyed as she already had assigned me a room next to the elevator again ...

Staff1: Thank you for being a member.
Me: Member of what? (yes I know, it is IHG One Rewards)
Staff1: The membership Programm of our hotel
Me: You are talking about IHG One Rewards Programm, right?
Staff1: No, the loyaly progam of our hotel.
Me: Isn't IHG One Rewards Programm the membership programm?
Staff1: No, I am talking about that you get a free drink when you stay a certain number of nights.
Me: I am not aware, that you have your own membership programm. But I am a loyal IHG One Rewards Member.
Staff1: Oh, I am correcting, that you are not a member. But then you do not get a free drink ....
Me: ???? Are you sure ....

... and then the agent on the next desk stepped in and pointed on the screen.

Staff1. But he said, he is not a meber ...
Staff 2: No, Mr FLYGVA is not only a member, he has our highest status Diamond and spends over 70 nights with us and at other IHG hotels. We welcome them mentioning their status and if they have mentiond preference in the booking, honour them ....
