Bula seats are a waste of money in my opinion unless you are unusually tall (6'2 and up). A friend of mine who is 185cm (somewhere in between 6 and 6'1) finds the regular seats on the FJ A350 comfortable enough and doesn't get a bula seat.

The economy seats on the A350 are better than most, they're 18' wide while most carriers these days are 17.3' or 17.5'. It's not much but I've found the A350 (They are normally the only planes on the LAX-NAN these days) to be as comfortable as long haul economy gets.
