We had purchased Economy Plus seats but then took a Premium Plus upgrade offer. The E+ seat didnt refund automatically so I applied for it thru the UA refunds page post-travel, but mistakenly got it sent back as an Electronic Travel Certificate, rather than to credit card. Realizing my mistake I then lodged a refund case to have it sent back as a credit card refund instead. This has gone through, and I've been refunded, but the travel certificates are still showing on my account.
Should I expect them to void at some point, or if I use them will UA charge me? Anyone had something similar happen??
