However, I did a quick comparison for a 3 nights stay at Waikiki Regency. Hyatt.com is at $1,212 including resort fee and normal member rate without any corporate code (3 days cxl). Costco is selling the same room for $1,381 with above add-on in prepaid rate.

Other than paying a higher rate including resort fee to earn additional points on “hidden resort fee”, I too would question how this would benefit anyone booking via Costco.
