Just returned from Orlando. Registered my rental with my NC Quick Pass as a temporary vehicle. Glad I did because one of the two Beachline Expressway tolls seems to be a plate lookup (the details include the plate number, which the others don't, and the transponder number doesn't match the one I was carrying).

None of the CFX tolls has posted nearly a week later, so hoping those weren't sent to PlatePass by mistake. The PlatePass lookup said an invoice is being generated and to come back soon (not sure if that happens after every rental or means they have tolls to bill). I took screenshots of my account showing the vehicle added, so I have proof if there is an issue. However, it makes me wonder if setting up a temporary vehicle still creates issues if tolls aren't processed until well after that vehicle expires from a transponder account.
