In Japan, at some of the CPs (e.g. Fukuoka), they gave us a different breakfast voucher which at the restaurant translated to a different "Diamond" laminated card that was put on our table by the server. I don't think there was a difference in the actual breakfast offering in this case so it may just have been for restaurant staff to know what level the guest is. YMMV.
I stayed at 2 CPs in Japan and they place the card or a plaque to designate you as diamond for breakfast. I asked and there wasn't anything extra, just the plaque...lol.. maybe you get priority with your eggs?
