craigthemif says, whilst waiting for the account to be unlocked, reset your password ahead of them unlocking the account.
Apparently, they wait for the account to be reset before unlocking judging by this sentence at the end of the email "Once I have received confirmation I will look into unlocking your account."

I know the T&Cs mean you never actually own Avios and that BA have sweeping and apparently unaccountable control over you BAEC account and Avios.
However surely it is in everyone’s interest to understand what the activity of concern was!
The email suggests it was done by an individual who reviewed the account manually, which I personally doubt, but this is BA and anything is possible.
The email comes across to me as sinister, unpleasant but it is thoroughly unhelpful.
