Though from your experience you think it will most likely have to go to CEDR? Might pointing out that BA cancelled a day before when they should be expected to find another aircraft at their home airport be sufficient?
I would say CEDR is inevitable. When you have a status such as DAMN then the agent takes one look at it and immediate types out the regret reply. I haven't found any evidence that they will reverse decisions either, so I suspect you will just have to go through the motions on the BA side and then wait for CEDR to look at it.
