If I were in your shoes - and this depends on weather and luggage - I'd head straight to JFK hotel, Terminal 5 from the AirTrain, and hit the rooftop pool/bar. That's what I did 3 weeks ago before SQ25. Now that we're in Summer, advance reservations might be required. I'd also note that midweek, clearing security around 6p, the line to get into Centurion lounge was dozens deep.
