I agree with RichardInSF, although I'm not sure there is any true luxury hotel in MAN? The Kimpton seems to be well regarded for what it is - i.e., a perfectly good (Euro) Kimpton (and, therefore, normally a cut above most of the US Kimptons). The Dakota also often gets good feedback, although some of their policies seem a little 'nickel and dime' to me.
