There's still places where I just took a day trip and didn't stay overnight. If I want to include those, I guess I need a more manual system. Google timeline tracks everywhere I go, but it doesnt go back far enough and I can't import history.

Regardless, logmytrip looks interesting. Do you now the difference between the paid and free version? Is it easy to import data?
Not sure I want to track how much money I've spent
Yes, good point. That's where Been comes in as it would record it as a visit.

I have a lifetime paid subscription which is nice since there's no adverts and there's a small number of additional features available. However I used the free version for a long time prior and it was perfectly useable.

You can import data, although the site currently states "for now, only CSV files coming from Logmyflight, MyFlightRadar24, Jet It Up and Openflights are accepted.".

The hotel tracking isn't as advanced as the flight tracking module but it's good having everything in one place. You can export all data as a CSV if you want to further manipulate elsewhere. I also like the feature to attach a photo of the paper boarding pass to a flight record.
