Recent 5 night stay here. Location good, close to a few tube stations and not far from many major tourist destinations. Rooms are modern and sufficient for the price. Upgraded to High Floor room as a Globalist. Breakfast complimentary for Globalist and as expected for a Hyatt Place.
Customer service IMO is lacking, even at a 4 star hotel standard. Had an early arrival, therefore reservation included the night before as well. Emailed to ensure the property was aware that I'd be arriving 7am the next day, which was confirmed and noted on my booking.
Upon arrival -
- Front desk attendant told me that they didn't have any rooms available for early check in.
- Upon advising that the room booking was inclusive of the night before, checked me in and issued card. Someone else came over and said 'oh we were expecting you yesterday'.
- Found day old welcome amenity in the room - desert slice of some sort with puddle of melted cream.
- Had a nap and and then went out, asked for housekeeping. Got told 'didnt you only check in today?'
- Later on, went to the front desk to ask for another card and got told "there's an extra charge for that", then 'just kidding' after I gave them a strange look.
